| CHOICEVOTE ’08 CAMPAIGN INTERN |
Background ChoiceVote '08 is NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s grassroots campaign to mobilize the pro-choice vote for Election Day victories up and down the ballot. Campaign interns are needed to position ChoiceVote '08 as the go-to campaign to find out which candidates are pro-choice and how to plug in with campaign efforts to defeat a dangerous anti-choice constitutional amendment and to elect a pro-choice General Assembly, president, U.S. senator and U.S. representatives. Multiple interns will be selected to fill the needs of this position and to delegate duties/responsibilities based on candidates’ interests.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities ChoiceVote '08 campaign intern(s) will work with the political director and the political organizer to roll out ChoiceVote '08 this year. Responsibilities will include: Writing and posting content for the ChoiceVote '08 campaign Web site. Supporting recruiting and planning efforts for summer outreach, tabling, and campaign events. Researching and managing campaign contact information. Researching candidates’ positions on reproductive rights and reproductive health. Creating reproductive health profiles for different regions of the state. Supporting coordination and management of volunteers. Providing additional support for ChoiceVote '08 and the general activities of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.
Qualifications - Passionate commitment to full reproductive freedom — must be pro-choice!
Applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills and a desire to use the political process to advance public policy. Applicant must be comfortable reaching out to political candidates and campaigns to establish relationships. Applicant must be hard-working, dependable, self-motivated and comfortable conducting Internet research. Must be comfortable reaching out to potential volunteers and members on the phone and in person. Must be able to commit approximately 8-10 hours per week.

| Campus Organizing Leadership Intern |
Summary NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado is looking for a responsible, dedicated, pro-choice students to fill the position of Campus Organizing Leadership Intern at various colleges throughout the state. The Campus Organizing Leadership Intern will organize pro-choice students on select campuses and among her/his peers to help protect the right to choose and represent the newest generation of the pro-choice movement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Expand or develop a NARAL student chapter on your campus
- Recruit and train students about threats to choice, nominees to federal courts, recent legislation concerning choice, and reproductive health options
- Work closely with NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s Political Organizer and other staff and within the structure of NARAL Pro-Choice America’s Campus Organizing Program (COP) to carry out the organization’s program goals on your campus
- Participate in state and national trainings, monthly reporting, and national conference calls
- Get students involved with lobbying on the state and national levels
- Recruit students to join our e-mail listserv, Choice Action Network (CAN), and Constituent Lobby Network
- Work with NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s staff to set up an information session on campus about reproductive health-care options
- Work in a coalition of diverse groups on campus to carry out program goals
- Work creatively with your campus chapter to come up with your own projects
Job Qualifications
- Strong personal commitment to a woman’s right to choose – must be pro-choice!
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Applicants must be comfortable working independently with regular supervision

| Events Intern |
Organizational OverviewNARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, a 501(c)(4) organization, is the political action arm of the pro-choice movement in Colorado. Our mission is to develop and sustain a constituency that uses the political process to guarantee every woman the right to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive health choices, including preventing unintended pregnancies, bearing healthy children and choosing legal abortion. Summary Intern position will oversee guest turnout for two or three 100-200 person events in Boulder, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs throughout fall 2007 and spring 2008. Intern will also assist Fundraising & Events Coordinator as needed regarding other event-related needs. This is a position where attention to detail is important, the desire to be an active part of a team is critical, and having fun is required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Invite and recruit event attendees through email, phone, and online applications
- Respond to and track people who RSVP for event
- Assist Event & Development staff as necessary with other event-related tasks
Job Qualifications
- Passionate commitment to full reproductive freedom — must be pro-choice!
- Experience with events (auction, theatrical, promotional, etc.) desired but not required
- Computer skills, including Word and Excel a plus
- Willingness to call potential volunteers in the evenings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a sense of humor
- Must be able to commit to working 12-15 hours per week from October 1, 2007 to January 30, 2008 in our Denver office on a flexible schedule (M-Th: 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., F: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado (NPCC) seeks a creative, energetic intern to help develop its new membership development and outreach strategy. - Work with the Executive Director and staff on identifying the best marketing approaches to reach potential new members from different age groups, races and ethnic backgrounds, genders, and geographical regions, among other population segments in Colorado.
- Assist with the development of appropriate public relations messaging and the development of a campaign to mobilize a new generation of voters to vote in the election of 2008.

- Background and experience in developing a marketing strategy and/or sales campaign and/or membership strategy

| PUBLIC POLICY INTERN |
Primary Duties and Responsibilities The public policy intern will work with the political director and political organizer to manage NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s public policy program. Responsibilities will include: Researching Colorado law regulating reproductive health and rights Identifying opportunities to revise existing statutes to expand access to the full range of reproductive health care options Identifying potential new ally organizations to advance reproductive health care policy in Colorado Facilitating coalitions related to women’s health care and reproductive freedom Updating training materials for 2009 Constituent Lobbyist Network
Qualifications Passionate commitment to full reproductive freedom — must be pro-choice! Applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills and a desire to use the political process to advance public policy. Familiarity with Colorado's constitution, Colorado Revised Statutes, and Lexis-Nexis a plus. Applicant must be hard-working, dependable, self-motivated and comfortable conducting extensive Internet research. Must be able to commit approximately 8-10 hours per week.

| Special Reports Intern |
Summary This position will provide an excellent opportunity to engage in an important research project that will benefit Colorado women and families, and will be used to help educate public policy and community leaders, among others. Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Assist public education and research director, political director, and other staff with research and design of the first regular report about the state of reproductive health in Colorado
- Collect extensive data through phone and internet research work for inclusion in special report
- Entry of extensive data into Excel and other programs to track collection
- Assist in drafting of report narrative
- Participate in weekly meetings with staff to help shape the content and look of the special report
- Submit updates on research progress to public education and research director on an on-going basis
- Other tasks as assigned by public education and research director or other staff
Job Qualifications
- Passionate commitment to full reproductive freedom — must be pro-choice!
- Applicant must be detail-oriented and experienced in data entry.
- Strong communication and phone/people skills required.
- Familiarity with statistics and SPSS preferred but not required.
- Applicant must be hard-working and dependable.
- Must be able to commit up to 20 hours per week.
