Fulfilling Our Promises: Secretary of State Clinton to Outline U.S. Efforts to Increase Access to Reproductive Health Care Worldwide
Friday, January 8 at 12:30pm
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver a major speech this Friday, January 8, about how the United States has changed its foreign policies to more aggressively increase access to reproductive health care services worldwide.

The speech will examine the critical relationship between access to essential reproductive health care services, universal education for women, and economic self-sufficiency in developing countries.

The speech will be live streamed on www.icpd2015.org starting at approximately 2:30 pm ET. A transcript and video of the speech will be posted on this site following the event.

Roe v. Wade Celebration and Commemoration

Despite enduring years of attacks, the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which constitutionally protects a woman’s right to choose, still stands as the law of the land.

To celebrate and commemorate Roe’s 37th anniversary, Protect Families, Protect Choice will be hosting a community happy hour! Please join us – it will be a fun and welcoming way to meet other members of the pro-choice community. Feel free to bring your stories about why Roe matters to you!

Go Lead! Training on Lobbying
Wednesday, January 27 at 5:30 - 7:30pm
NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado is proud to co-host the 2010 Go Lead training series to develop the next generation of policy and community leaders.
 
First topic of 2010: Lobbying. Learn how to get your voice heard at the state capitol.  This year over 500 bills will be introduced; find out how to have impact on the issues that matter to you! Learn from the pros -- State Senator Morgan Carroll and Lobbyist Heather Atkinson of Siegal Public Affairs.
 
The event takes place January 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Colorado Education Association (1500 Grant St., Denver). Parking available in lot next to building. ** Food provided! ** RSVP to Faith atfwinter@thewhitehouseproject.org (please include Go Lead RSVP in your subject line).
 
The Go Lead program is a series of monthly trainings designed to increase your leadership and give you the skills to be an effective advocate. The Go Lead Training program will be held the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Colorado Education Association.

What is a health care provider’s duty to inform? What are provider’s rights, as a matter of religious or other personal objection, to withhold information or treatment?
 
Join our coalition partners for a presentation and conversation on Thursday, February 4 at 7pm at the Iliff school of Theology (2201 S. University Blvd, Denver CO) to discuss the principles of Informed Consent and Professional Standards of Care, and how provider refusal factors into the delivery of health care ranging from issues of reproductive health and health care reform to end-of-life care.
