Shelby Knox is a national sexual education activist and the focus of the 2005 documentary The Education of Shelby Knox. It was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival that year. (Tip: Put that movie into your Netflix queue right away!) Shelby helped defeat Amendment 48 -- the first version of this year's odious Amendment 62 -- in Colorado in 2008, and she's coming back this year to fight alongside NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado to defeat Amendment 62. She’ll be touring the state for two weeks, talking to college students, activists, and voters. The headlining event will be a Members-Only Champagne Reception on September 30 from 5:30-8:00 pm in Denver, with all proceeds benefitting the field efforts to defeat Amendment 62 (Not a member? Better become one fast!). Join Shelby and other leaders of the No on 62 Campaign for champagne, appetizers, and music on a rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of beautiful Denver!
