The National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers commemorates the 1993 assassination of Dr. David Gunn, the first abortion provider tragically murdered simply for providing compassionate abortion care to women.

In the wake of the devastating 2009 murder  of Wichita, KS abortion-care provider Dr. George Tiller, it is more important then ever to acknowledge and honor the courageous men and women, doctors, nurses and clinic staff that brave dangerous conditions to provide Coloradans with access to the full range of reproductive health care services, including safe, compassionate abortion care.
