For Immediate Release Wednesday, August 20, 2008 PINK CHIFFON, PINK PATENT LEATHER PARTY PUMPS ON STAGE FOR THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE “Lynne Koplitz Headlines the Hottest Political Party at the Convention” DENVER (Aug. 20) -- Stand Up for Choice, the Wednesday August 27th, 6pm to 10 pm convention party to benefit NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, will feature the irreverent, bawdy stand-up comedy of Lynne Koplitz of Comedy Central, NBC, SONY's syndicated talk show Life and Style, Stand-Up New York, Comic Strip Live and the Gotham Comedy Club. Koplitz has also just finished shooting the first 10 episodes of ZRock, the brilliant new semi-scripted comedy series for the Independent Film Channel. Warming up the crowd during the night long Stand Up event will be Nick@Nite’s Funniest Mom, Rubi Nicholas. Nicholas, of Denver, CO, was selected as the winner of Nick@Nite's Search for the Funniest Mom in America 2. In the crowd at the DC10 Lounge to Stand Up for Choice will be activists, volunteers, political notables, delegates and supporters from across Colorado and across the country. The Stand Up fest will also feature updates from the DNC all evening, fabulous door prizes and free appetizers and drinks.
